Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm

Happy Friday blogland! I apologize for the serious lack of posts but I've been feeling a bit under the weather while also having two sick babies as well so things have been a bit crazy around my house. With my girls finally back to their happy healthy selves, I've finally started to rest and recover. But enough about me, hope you guys had a great week and what better way to end the week than to kick off another Farm Fresh Friday challenge with The Greeting Farm? This week's challenge is Get Wordy, meaning just that, you add a sentiment to your card or project! Since this was a nice simple theme I thought I'd make a nice simple card using one of my super secret stamp club cuties, #9 Day Out Anya

SSSC #9 Day Out Anya

Since it seems to be the latest trend, since my watercoloring has been a little neglected, and since it looked so stinkin' fun, I tried my hand at making my own water colored background. Guess what, super easy and I loved it! I used my twinkling H2O watercolor paints and the background came out super shimmery oh I wish you guys could see the shimmer! And once it dried I mounted it to a piece of Bazzill heavyweight card shoppe cardstock, stamped my sentiment and called it done....But since it looked so plain, I colored up the adorable Day Out Anya with my copics, fussy cut her out and adhered her to my card and she fit in perfectly! Because I wanted the background to be the focus I didn't add any extra embellishments, just a bit of wink of stella to her outfit. I hope this inspires you guys to try out making your own watercolor backgrounds. Now head on over to The Greeting Farm to find out the winner of last week's challenge and see what those amazing teamies of mine have come up with. Don't forget to link up your creations for a chance to win a fabulous prize and the chance to have your card featured on Wow'd me Wednsday at The Greeting Farm, see you guys soon, I'm getting looks from hubby that tell me "step away from the computer and get back to bed, sick person" gotta love him ;)

Lots-o-love,

Room to Grow

Wow guys it truly seems like forever since the last time I was able to blog but as promised, I'm back!!! A lot has been going on and it's taken a while to get settled in but my family and I have finally completed our move and have unpacked everything! We got rid of the last box in the living room, the corner looked so empty I wanted to put the box back just for decoration lol! As promised, my DH came through for me and I now have my very own craft room, complete with a new craft desk, just right for me. Of course I had to break open my newest TGF haul, the Magical kit I preordered! I've seriously been crafting like crazy and making a mess that I am excited to be able to just close the door on and walk away because I can, it's a mess in my own room!!! This week's FFF, Summer Lovin' seemed like a perfect comeback challenge! Hope I haven't lost my touch

Magical Bean
Hair: e40,42,43,
Skin: e21,00,000
Clothes: y19,11,02

For this tag I decided to pull out my twinkling h2o water colors and create a background that sings of summer! I used the flowers that came with TGF's winky bean acrylic stamp set and a few DIY enamel dots with some ribbon from my stash. I LOVE enamel dots but they are a bit overpriced to me so this DIY trick is a big money saver! The sentiment is a wood mounted stamp from Walmart. I'm seriously in love with this kit and can't wait till June 1st to pre order the next TGF kit! Happy early Memorial Day guys and gals, see you again soon

Orange Overload

Am I the only person who hated their school colors? No, I mean really hated their high school's colors. Every pep rally was reminiscent of Halloween, seriously, of all the color combinations in the world, black and orange! Well in the spirit of rebellion I have apparently been subconsciously harboring ill feelings for the color orange lol! Well today I decided to pull out my set of twinkling h2o watercolors and get over my aversion by trying my hand at my very first monochromatic card, this was the result
Cheshire Bean

Too much orange! lol I plan to enter her in the Farm Fresh Friday (FFF) Challenge- Monochromatic .
P.S. does this make you crave orange soda? ^.^
