Snips and Snails

Today is a beautiful warm day here and it's making me realize just how much I'm gonna miss Texas with its scorching heat and unpredictable, changeable, downright bipolar weather. I'm sad to be leaving but at the same time I'm super excited to have my family back under one roof again, even if it's not the roof we're used to! I digress, today I decided to use Oliver from my prize set, OA Surprise, since I used msAmelia yesterday. I think I'm slowly improving on my masculine cards but you be the judge, so without further ado, here you go

Oliver OA Surprise

I once again used the kraft green and white but with a little...hmmm...I'm not sure if this is teal, aqua, or simply blue green! Whatever the color, it looked awesome with the kraft green and white color scheme! Once again I stamped this little guy in desert sand memento ink to give that no line look. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink for definition. A bit of twine, a button and a couple of rhinestones and this little guy was complete in no time! I'm entering this adorable little man in TGF'S FFF Challenge Use Twine/Ribbon as well as this week's Retro Sketch Challenge. Hope u guys like it, see you again soon!

Lucky Me

Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA but I had a good reason this time, scout's honor! As some of you may remember, DH joined the military and is now coming to the end of his AIT which means he has his orders. For a family born and raised in Texas heat, our first assignment is something out of a nightmare, the chilly climate of NY! Needless to say, Texas is a good distance from NY so I decided that I would spend some time with my family before the big move. Last week was spring break for my oldest DD so no school for a week was a perfect opportunity to head home...and get some crafting done ^.^ so home I went! Copics, DP, stickles, my TGF darlings of course, and my handy dandy atg gun in tow I was ready...until I realized I left my cardstock and pare trimmer o_O. If I hadn't been having such a good time with family, this would have been a depressing and I may have gone through  withdrawals lol! Anyway now I'm back at home and of course I had to sneak in a card ASAP to include in this week's FFF, Use Twine/Ribbon as well as The ABC Challenge H is for Hair. Lucky me, when I arrived at home I found my prize from a previous win and I just couldn't wait to ink this lil cutie up! I love the way that kraft cardstock looks great with almost any color sonic honor of St Patty's Day I decided to give green kraft and white a shot and here's how it turned out:

Amelia TGF's OA Surprise

This was soooo much fun to color! I do believe ms Amelia will be making her way onto the front of many more projects isn't she fabulous?! I wanted to do a no line technique so I stamped her in memento desert sand. The DP and ribbon are both something from my stash and the sentiment is part of TGF's Delicate Words die set (not sure if still available!). I gave the whole card a healthy stickling ( my signature!) and added a touch of bling for a lil somethin' extra! Hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it and thanks for stopping by!

Feeling Peachy Keen

YAY! Its that time again at the farm, Garden Variety Tuesday! This week is a photo inspiration, I admit I've had a hard time wraping my brain around this color scheme. Even though I love my peachy, I wasn't too keen on the teal. However the DT did such a great inspiring job it gave me a few ideas of my own and out came this little lady!

Anya Strolls

I got Anya Strolls at the beginning of the month on release day and have been itching to use her on a card or project but just couldn't find papers for the idea I had in mind. This color combination had me in a rutt and I ended up sitting for hours trying to force this card but I took a break, looked through my paper stash old and new, and finally voila! In the DCWV Sweet Stack, of all places I found the inspiration I needed! With a few papers from the 'Fabulous Girl' Recollections stack with the cutest little butterfly peeking out, a little lace, and a surplus of stickles EVERYWHERE I could get away with, my card came together beautifully and almost efortlessly. The roses were actually all white but twinkling H2Os gave them a splash of color and shimmer to match the color theme. And I know I say this a lot but seriously, I am IN LOVE with the way the big peachy pink rose turned out, the color is GORGEOUS and so unexpected, an inspiration all on its own for me! I plan to enter this card in the following challenges;

Tea time in Wonderland

Since I already created a post for today I'll Keep this one short sweet and to the point:

My Alice Bean as well as my Queen bean arrived today and I wanted to use one for the card I made today. I made a tea themed card so I chose Alice over the Queen (sorry your majesty). I plan to enter it into the DTT Challenge as well as the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge, over at Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm, assuming I figure out how lol. Also the Marker pop Challenge #20 anything goes! If not it was still a really fun card to make ^.^ Wish me luck!
Alice Bean
I turned the sketch for the DTT challenge on its side and Blinged it out with pearls tinted with E34 copic marker as well as adorning Alice with a super sparkly bow and shoes to match by using Rangers Holographic Embossing Powder how fun is that?! Papers used were SU! Chocolate chip cardstock and the DCWV Garden Tea Party Stack. The tea cups were from a patterned paper from the same stack and  if you look closely the flowers on top of the tiny tea cakes have been fussy cut from a leftover scrap of the main background paper, can you say finger cramps??? lol Enjoy
